Christine is the maker and designer behind Contra, a handmade leather goods brand, who also runs leather workshops. She is from Canada, but has been based in La Bahia de Banderas for the last five years. Trained in interior design and architecture, Christine brings a design-focused approach to leatherwork.
Her classes are rooted in traditional leather craft techniques such as saddle stitching, burnishing edges, and using a chisel punch. Each project is designed to reflect a timeless style that will age beautifully over time. Her goal is to create expansion around quality goods, how they are made, and create an environment for exploration.
